Meet Our Management Team


Thomas W. Hughes, Chief Executive Officer and President
Mr. Hughes founded Electronic Claims & Funding, Inc. (ECF), in 1990 and along with a strong entrepreneurial group, built the company into the nation's largest dental electronic claims clearinghouse. In 1995, Mr. Hughes sold ECF to MedeAmerica and today ECF is basically the Dental Division of WebMD. While growing the business at ECF, Mr. Hughes saw a need for an electronic attachment clearinghouse and in 1997 started NEA. Many of the former employees of ECF now work with Mr. Hughes and NEA remains today as the largest collection of brainpower and knowledge in the area of electronic attachments.

Mr. Hughes is an avid sailor and often speaks at healthcare events around the country. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Children Everywhere and is a sponsor of the Faith Works schools in Zambia, Africa. Mr. Hughes and his wife, Barbara, have three children and six grandchildren.

David L. Fincher, Vice President, Provider Sales
Mr. Fincher graduated from the University of Georgia in 1986 with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. Utilizing this education with his military and police officer management experience, Mr. Fincher soon found himself rising in the management ranks of Sears.

In December 1997, Mr. Fincher decided to join the start of National Electronic Attachment, Inc., which did not have any customers at that time. As the Director of Sales, Mr. Fincher helped launch the initial marketing plans for NEA. After two successful years, Mr. Fincher was promoted to Vice President of Providers Sales and is responsible for developing provider marketing initiatives with payors and vendors.

Mr. Fincher leads a weekly Bible study group and is an active facilitator for the Christian Leadership Concepts organization. He and his wife, Karen, have two children.

Thomas William Hughes ("TJ"), Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Hughes has worked with NEA from the beginning and was active previously in the technology are of Electronic Claims & Funding, Inc.

Mr. Hughes works closely with HIPAA and serves as NEA's Security Officer. The entire technology staff including contract programming, systems administration and customer support report to him.

Mr. Hughes is a ham radio operator and has an interest in domed housing. Mr. Hughes and his wife, Tracy, have two children.

Walton C. Bryde, Interim Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bryde is currently with NEA as an Interim Chief Financial Officer, responsible for our financial strategy.

In addition to serving as interim CFO for NEA, Mr. Bryde is the President and Founder of Walton C. Bryde and Associates, P.C., a certified public accounting firm. Mr. Bryde is a former Vice President of Finance at Southern Airways Company. He began his career as an audit and tax supervisor with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young).

Mr. Bryde has been a CPA since 1963 and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Michael C. Hughes, Vice President- Medical Sales
Mr. Hughes leads National Electronic Attachment's sales efforts related to the transmission and storage of Medical attachments. Mr. Hughes previously held management, marketing, and sales positions with WebMD, MedE America, and Electronic Claims and Funding, Inc. Mr. Hughes brings over 15 years of Healthcare EDI experience to NEA and is active with several industry groups including the Georgia Strategic Local Implementation Process (GSLIP), Southern Healthcare Administrative Regional Process (SHARP) and Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI).

Mr. Hughes, in his spare time, enjoys golf, softball, swimming, gardening, and coaching Little League Baseball. Mr. Hughes also serves on the Board of Trustees for Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Sandy Springs, GA.
