FastAttach® improves revenue cycle management by allowing providers to transmit an unlimited number of documents in support of electronic medical claims to NEA’s repository for health plans to view. Providers can improve their bottom line and eliminate manual paper processes for claim adjudication by using FastAttach in conjunction with their electronic medical claims.

How Does It Work?

FastAttach is a Windows-based application that is compatible with all medical practice management and revenue cycle management systems. To begin using the system, all you need is Internet access and a means to digitize your documents, such as a scanner or mobile device. Of course, you must also submit your medical claims electronically. FastAttach can be used with any claims clearinghouse as long as it supports HIPAA-mandated standards, specifically the PWK segment in the 837 file.

Transmitting your attachments to NEA is easy since we offer to largest array of capture options available including: modbile device data capture with FastKapture, file import, print capture or scanning. NEA immediately returns a confirmation receipt with an attachment tracking number. Insert the attachment tracking number into the remarks segment of the electronic medical claims. The clearinghouse translates this information to the “PWK” section of the claim format. This allows the claim adjudicator to retrieve the attachments and review both the medical claims and supporting documentation at the same time.
